From the soulful melodies echoing through my Southern childhood, a deep-seated passion for music took root. Growing up amidst a tapestry of genres and the profound heart and soul that defines Southern music, I was captivated by the art of storytelling through song. Artists like Ian Tyson and Chris LeDoux, with their narratives of the West, ignited a spark within me. Inspired by their ability to weave tales and by my own experiences, particularly a cousin’s influence, the allure of the West and its enigmatic spirit called to me. It was a calling that eventually led me westward, where the landscapes and the lives encountered have become the very fabric of my songwriting and poetry.

The songs I sing, whether penned by my own hand or drawn from the legacies of great musicians past, are often steeped in the imagery of cowboys, the raw courage of firefighters, and the breathtaking beauty of the Western United States. For me, music has always been a powerful avenue for expression, a way to connect with others through shared human experiences. That journey has culminated in my album, “Session One,” and continues as I explore new musical and poetic landscapes.
